  | October 13, 2009 This week we're focusing on tagging, titles and descriptions. Get these in shape now to help those holiday sales come rolling in! Join us for a live chat on this topic Thursday, October 15 at 4 p.m. ET in the Virtual Labs. Tell Your Story Don't let your item descriptions fall flat! Lure those shoppers with a great story. How did you come up with this design or technique? What or who inspires you to create? Does this vintage item have a hidden story behind it (fact or fiction)? Add in your personality through a sweet story and remind your shoppers of the real person behind the Etsy shop. Recommended reading: Seth Godin's How to Tell a Great Story. A few tips for your titles: 1. Make sure you have the most important and descriptive words at the beginning of your item title. 2. Check out how your item's title looks in gallery and list view. 3. Titles should reflect your style and brand. Try to find a balance between quirky and literal.
