Email doesn't look right? Click here! | | | Item listing titles, descriptions and tags allow Etsy sellers to converse with potential buyers, Etsy's search, and search engines. Sometimes it feels like you have to speak completely different languages to account for these three situations. For this week's Shop Makeover post, I wanted to share some before and after examples with you. Hopefully this post will be our version of an item listing Rosetta Stone. | | | First, make sure you're using all 14 tags on each item listing. Think of each tag as an opportunity to grab a buyer's attention! If you're already at that point, go through your tags and see how you can add style, texture, color and size related tags to your item listings. Wondering what keywords you should be using? Check out the blog post below and Google's Keyword Tool to help you brainstorm. | | | Still hungry for more work? Go through your item descriptions and see where you can insert relevant keywords. For instance, instead of saying, "I created this sterling silver necklace." You might want to say, "I hand wire wrapped this romantic and dainty, rose quartz and sterling silver necklace in my Brooklyn studio." This will help search engines find your item listings and share them with the right kind of buyers. | | | | | Whew! We’re halfway through the Shop Makeover series – I hope you’re hanging in there. Remember, even if you do a single task out of each weekly list, you’re bettering your shop and small business!
