This weekend's Get the Look: Decor is inspired by the set of the AMC series, Mad Men. With the premiere episode of season 3 about to air, I thought it would be a fun change of pace to put together a look inspired by the design of an office from the early 1960s.
While many things have changed (we surely wouldn't be enjoying a cigarette or sipping scotch with our boss and clients in the conference room these days), the design aesthetic of the era is still a classic style that many designers draw influence from today. Whether you are decorating your cubicle, your home office, or even your dorm room, the natural woods, clean lines and architectural details of the early 1960s are sure to lend an air of executive elegance.
