etsy labs | | February 19, 2010 Open Craft Night at the Etsy Labs
This week we're hosting an open Craft Night, as we usually do on the last Monday of each month. Instead of an organized project, we encourage you to dive into any project that strikes your fancy. When: Monday, February 22. Drop in any time between 4 to 8 p.m. ET. Where: Etsy Labs at 55 Washington Street, Suite 512, Brooklyn, NY More details about this Craft Night here | A few more skill-sharing happenings for you...
| Call for Materials: This week at Craft Night, members from the {NewNew} Etsy Team will be working on a secret summer project. If you have any colorful plastic bags or New York-related ephemera that you would like to donate to be repurposed for their project, either bring them to Craft Night (see above) or contact thenewnewny@gmail.com.
| I recently learned about Trade School, a temporary pop-up learning space in New York City, and I think I'm in love! Trade School is hosting 30 days of classes, coworking, and bartering till the end of the month. Classes cover a vast range of topics, all in exchange for basic items or services, rather than money. Details here.
| FashionCamp is this weekend, everybody jump for joy! Fashion Camp is a free conference with workshops and presentations focused on current topics in fashion, technology, and innovative marriages of the two. Anyone can present and everyone is encouraged to share their knowledge! Details here.
