June 19, 2009 Come craft with us at the Etsy Labs on Monday  This week, on Monday, June 22, we will be making lip balm. The lip balm we make this evening will be given away at Etsy's booth at upcoming summer craft fairs to help spread the Etsy word. Come help us make this happen!
All participants will also take home their own completed lip balm tubes, as well as the knowledge to make lip balm independently. We will demonstrate the melt-and-pour technique, perfect for creating fun promotional items for your own Etsy shop, as well as for gifts and party or wedding favors for friends and family. We'll also cover tips on labeling, sealing, and packaging your lip balm containers.

Upcoming Classes & Events in New York  Maker's Market at Socrates Sculpture Park
Makers Market is a new open air marketplace featuring a curated selection of skillfully crafted products. The Market will be within Socrates Sculpture Park's spring exhibition, State Fair, on June 26-28. Approximately 30 makers will be selling a broad range of products including textiles, ceramics, turned wood bowls, glassware, bicycles, jewelry, and furniture, as well as one of a kind and small production objects.
