Oh, sellers, don't forget! Mother's Day is right around the corner. My challenge to you is to "momify" your shops! Tell a story in your shop announcement, profile or item descriptions about your mother, grandmother, or maternal figure who has influenced you or your business. This is a creative way to remind your buyers that Mother's Day is around the corner, without shouting, "My items would make great Mother's Day gifts!" (Do that too if you like.) Etsy's Guide to Selling Vintage Pricing for Growth Crafting an MBA blogger (and Etsy seller) Megan Auman has a great pricing blog post up where she states, "More often than not, by the time you add up labor + materials + overhead, you forget to add that all important last element, profit." (Read her full post here.) There are two other pricing articles on Etsy's blog you might want to check out while you are at it. First, Understanding Your Costs can help calculate your costs and related time and price your work accordingly. And next have a look at Preparing for Wholesaling. Wholesaling can help your business get to “the next level"; a few larger wholesale orders can help you reinvest in your business. xo, Danielle P.S.
