| | June 9, 2010 Beach or mountains? This is one question I've never considered twice when filling out those notorious personality quizzes. With my parents owning a beach cottage on the coast of North Carolina, I was naturally brought up a southern beach baby. The beach house was close enough to pack up the car on a whim for a weekend in the salty air — and yet far enough away to really feel like an escape. One of my favorite aspects of a beach excursion is the "throw it on, toss it in the bag, and you're ready to go" no-fuss mentality.
