People often ask me how to get team members motivated to participate in group activities. My main piece of advice is to come up with bonding activities, like a shared project, and figure out a way to involve as many people as possible in making it a success. Doing this enables members to share the responsibility and the glory that goes into pulling off something awesome in the name of the team.

Join me in the Virtual Labs at  7 p.m. ET tomorrow (Tuesday, October 4) evening. We'll be meeting in the room labeled "Classroom."

I Heart Art: Portland
I wanted to share this article that was posted on the I Heart Art: Portland blog last month. It is an inspiring write-up about the power of crafting and the concrete emotional and physical benefits gained from doing things with your hands. I like the reminder that "the journey is the destination."

Make your team's dreams come true. Apply for a Team Grant and let Etsy help subsidize your project. We love new ideas! Just make sure that you bring your creativity to the table and present us with a thorough proposal. This month's applications are due October 15 (that's next week)!

What's Going on at Etsy?
We've just announced the next milestone in our overall mission to widen Etsy. This time, it's listing pages. Currently live for just a small percentage of people visiting the site, look at the improvements that everyone will eventually see when looking up an item.

That's all for now,
Morgan
