We're rolling it out it out in stages over the next few days instead of all at once, but let me tell you, once it's fully launched you'll be able to search for help, ask a question and submit an idea. 5 Tips for Item Descriptions
Do you have writer's block when it comes to crafting your Etsy item listings? You're in luck! Optimize your shop with the following five tips for effective and descriptive prose in your product listings. You'll have a way with words in no time! Check out all five tips in this blog post.

Did you know...
...that very first paragraph in your item description is the most important? Not only is it the first bit of information (obviously), but the first few lines of your description are displayed should your item pop up as a Google search result. When you are listing your item, be sure to make use of the option to view how your listing will appear as a search result — you'll find that option at the bottom of step one in the item listing process. Wondering how Etsy did last month? Here are the stats:

You guys sold $17.7 million of goods in October; roughly 11% higher than September. Wow!
That represents 1,065,475 items sold for the month, 10% higher than September’s 967,037.
203,012 new members joined the Etsy community in the month. Welcome to Etsy!
