Pictures from an event like this rarely live up to the moment. I often say
that pictures from things like this are usually not good the day of or the
day after. They only become good 10 or 20 years from now. Kinda like wine,
I guess. But if there is a part of my job description that is actually
useful to people, it is the historian part (I'll spare us all another
discussion about subjectivity/objectivity). Maybe the pictures will be
interesting later... I think they will be for me, at least. For now, the
event itself was far more interesting than the pictures.
