Etsy's CEO Maria Thomas posted a "Talking Shop" article with a review of 2008, thoughts about the current state of our marketplace, and news about upcoming priorities. Details here:

Recently, Etsy launched Etsy Shop Web Analytics. 20,000 sellers have currently opted into this feature, which allows them to track activity in their shops. Since the tool is quite complex and powerful, Etsy admin Tom Kutty and Etsy Google Analytics advisor John Mentgen will be hosting a seller chat in the Virtual Labs' Classroom on Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at 6:30pm EST. Tom and John will give a brief intro and answer questions, and we also ask sellers to share their insights in using Web Analytics. Details here:

Jared Tarbell, Etsy's Flash artist/guru, launched a new application today: Recently Listed Items, found at http://www.etsy.com/recently.php
Our marketplace is growing rapidly and some sellers are concerned about the traffic jam of new listings (see Etsy admin Matt's post on this: http://www.etsy.com/storque/article/3332 ).
