| | September 16, 2010 As the smell of cinnamon and nutmeg begin to waft through the air, I grow more and more excited to partake in the distinctive sights, sounds and smells of the harvest season. For me autumn is all about baking pies from fresh-picked apples, canning fruit butters, jams and sauces, sipping hot toddies on the porch of a lakeside cabin, crunching through the woods under a blanket of red, yellow and orange leaves, and creeping out the neighbors with my haunted house soundtrack and back-from-the-dead decor.
