This weekend's Get the Look: Decor is inspired by the Nashville, Tennessee home of Allison Marusic.  She spends many weekends shopping at flea markets and thrift shops and is an avid collector of everyday things that tell a story or show signs of their past.  Allison says her decorating style is inspired by classic country music, Canadiana, old souvenirs, maps, globes, used tools, machinery, family history and vintage clothing.  Throughout all of her collecting, Allison's home has managed to capture a nostalgic feeling and history of Nashville's culture.

Visit Etsy's There's No Place Like Here flickr pool to view more photos of Allison's home, and check out the Etsy Finds below to find out how you can add a little piece of country to your own home decor.

ANTIQUE TRUNK-1830'S TO 1850'S

This antique trunk is a gorgeous piece of the past that has all the qualities that Allison looks for when choosing furniture for her home.
She says that she has an appreciation for "things that show wear or a sense of being used. If I had to choose between mint condition and beat up, I'd pick the one that was beat up. I like objects with a back story, whether I know what that story is or not." From boxwoodmanor4, $150.

Tiffany Blue Chandelier

Before she moved in, Allison's home was owned by the same family from the time it was built.  It still has many original details, and her favorites include the glitter ceilings and wood paneling.  I also noticed some very unique hanging light fixtures that add a quirky character to her home. This blue chandelier is the perfect way to add a colorful detail in an unexpected place. By myfinch, $62.
