This weekend's Get the Look: Decor is inspired by the Nashville, Tennessee home of Allison Marusic. She spends many weekends shopping at flea markets and thrift shops and is an avid collector of everyday things that tell a story or show signs of their past. Allison says her decorating style is inspired by classic country music, Canadiana, old souvenirs, maps, globes, used tools, machinery, family history and vintage clothing. Throughout all of her collecting, Allison's home has managed to capture a nostalgic feeling and history of Nashville's culture.

She says that she has an appreciation for "things that show wear or a sense of being used. If I had to choose between mint condition and beat up, I'd pick the one that was beat up. Tiffany Blue Chandelier
Before she moved in, Allison's home was owned by the same family from the time it was built. It still has many original details, and her favorites include the glitter ceilings and wood paneling.
