Hi Etsy members,
After a busy period of testing and refining, we’re excited to announce some significant enhancements to Etsy's Search — and the shopping experience on our site:
• Tweaked layout of search results pages
• Simplified the options in the search dropdown menu
• Launched an Advanced Search option (and we want you to try it out!)
Details, as well as the link for forum thread where you can provide feedback, are available in this post on Etsy's blog, The Storque. We've included info about more changes coming soon, because improving Search is an ongoing process. You can get involved too! Help us test upcoming search tools, such as the forthcoming option to sort search results by Most Relevant, in a special Virtual Labs session on Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at 3:00pm EDT (find out when this is in your time zone).
In other news, we have clarifyied the Terms for the Treasury, a very popular site feature on Etsy. Because many Treasury lists are "promoted" in part or in their entirety to the home page of Etsy, this site feature is followed closely by many member of the Etsy community. Please note, nothing has changed about the functionality of the Treasury itself. Visit this post on Etsy's blog to read more about this.
