Announcing New Jewelry Sub-Category Showcases
If you have tried to buy a Showcase spot in the past, particularly in some of our more popular categories such as Jewelry, you might be interested in the new Jewelry Subcategory Showcase. The new Subcategory Showcases increase availability of spots, but they will also allow you to reach an even more targeted group of shoppers interested in your specific type of item. These spots will be priced at $7 per 24-hour cycle. Grab one at the Showcase Gateway.

Seller Directory and Stocked Shops
Recently, we updated one of the ways to shop on Etsy — the Seller Directory on the Buy page. We are now limiting this page to stocked shops (a stocked shop has at least one active item listing). Our goal is to improve the shopping experience on Etsy.
All Etsy shops will remain findable on the site. This change only affects which shops appear of the Seller Directory on the Buy page. Unstocked shops will still be accessible via username search as well as direct URL (the username.etsy.com web address).
Selling Across the Globe
Liz and Maria just got back from their European trip, and they have some exciting ideas for international product developments!
So it got me thinking, what can Etsy sellers do to reach out across the globe? Here are some tips and resources:
* Multi-lingual? Consider writing your shop announcement, profile, or even item descriptions in English and your other languages.
* Do you ship internationally? If the process seems daunting, check out this blog post on international shipping by fenrislorsrai.
* Spring is coming up in North America, but don't forget about the shoppers down under, where it's getting chilly. Keep up to date & offer options for international seasons, fads and holidays!
Make Those Gems Sparkle 
We've been focusing on photography this week in Etsy's Virtual Labs. There are still two workshops left, don't miss them!) We've had a lot of jewelry artists asking us specifically for help with their gems, so I thought I'd share this great blog post, Photographing Jewelry by Etsy seller JenKahn. She shows you that you can get a great photo of your gems without using a fancy camera or lighting set up!
