Forty years ago this weekend, the outdoor festival called Woodstock forever changed the the world's music scene with some of the most iconic stage performances of our time. Today, we carry on the legacy with enormous blow-out fests like Coachella, Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, Glastonbury, and my personal favorite, All Tomorrow's Parties. Camping out in temporary communities, we experience these events beyond merely the music: we bond with our friends, connect with the great outdoors, and rediscover our sense of freedom.
