August 18, 2009   Ever bumped into something you had no idea existed, hiding deep in the recesses of Etsy land? There are many gems on our dear Etsy.com, and some of them you might not have discovered yet! Here are my top five Etsy "eggs" that I think every seller should know about.   1. Treasury West Perhaps you already know about the Treasury, an ever-changing, member-curated gallery of handpicked items. (Learn how to make a Treasury list on Etsy's blog.) But did you know about Treasury West? This is our testing Treasury, and while it may disappear at any time, it's usually quite stable. Etsy Admin even promote some of these lists to the Etsy homepage! Find Treasury West here.   2. Poster Sketch For those of you who are Treasury obsessed, we've created Poster Sketch. Think of it as your own personal workspace to create a Treasury of collected items while you wait for a spot in the main Treasury or Treasury West. Remember, the list you create in Poster Sketch will hang out at this web address until you clear these items (or clear your cookies). You can find this tool here.   3. Weekend Deals Forum Threads Want a chance to be featured in Etsy's blog, the Gift Guides and Etsy's newsletter? Keep your eyes on MaryMary's Weekend Deals forum threads— there's a different focus each week, and one of these opportunities might be just right for you. Here's a link to latest threads. Good luck!   4. Pounce What's selling on Etsy? Have a look at our Pounce: Just Sold feature to find out what has just sold! This is a great way to research what people are shopping for. Make sure to have a good look at the sold item's photos, descriptions, policies, prices and more. What are these sellers doing right, and is there anything you can learn from them?   5. The Virtual Labs. Want to meet other sellers and get advice on your own shop? Come on by the Virtual Labs for a live Newbie Chat or Shop Critique session.
