Etsy News: Site Maintenance Shifted & Sorting Your Items During Listing

Dear Etsy friends,

Site Maintenance Window Changed: We needed to switch our regularly scheduled site maintenance from this Wednesday, September 9 to Monday, September 14. Etsy will be offline from 2 a.m. to 6 a.m. Our Engineering Team needed more time to prepare new hardware. If you are a seller who has reserved a Showcase slot during this time, have no fear —your bill will be refunded the prorated amount. See the schedule for the rest of 2009 here.

Updates to the Listing Process: We made a change to the way sellers sort their items into subcategories by using tags during the listing process. This improvement is part of a larger initiative to make Etsy Categories more user-friendly. More details can be found here.
