Etsy's office has been an ever evolving setting since I started working here two years ago. My first desk was on top of a skateboard ramp. I later moved to a dark corner in the engineering department and later found myself working inside a tiny indoor tree house. These days my desk is situated in front of several large windows with a perfect view of the Empire State Building and the Manhattan Bridge, and not too far off in the distance is a loft building where a 5th floor couple cooks breakfast in the nude.
That doesn't even scratch the surface of the off-the-wall things Etsy's employees have grown accustomed to. As you walk in the door to the Etsy office, you are greeted by our super friendly "manceptionist," Jakob, whose desk is situated inside a diorama featuring a wall of illustrated flowers and a giant stuffed squid like this one by AngDavidson, $395. Nature Wine Cork Board
