May 9, 2009 Once upon a time (more than twenty years ago), a handmade item was born. A frilly lace dress was constructed with excitement and care for an upcoming soiree, a teenager constructed a bridge made of toothpicks for physics class, and an aunt-to-be made a quilt for the new baby. These handmade treasures were created, served their individual purposes, then fell to the wayside. With a little luck (and a creative spirit!), these handmade hand-me-downs have made their way to Etsy and are looking for a new place to call home.
