Site Maintenance: Our next site maintenance will not be on its usual early Monday morning schedule. Because of the Labor Day holiday in the U.S., we will be taking Etsy offline for its regular tune up from 2 - 6 a.m. on Wednesday, September 9. Please see this post for the rest of the 2009 schedule.
Upcoming Changes for Shop and Item Page SEO: We're getting ready to move forward with some changes based on the expert guidance of SEOmoz, the Search Engine Optimization firm with whom we've been working. We're pre-announcing these changes to ensure sellers have time to prepare, but it's important to note that you don't need to make any changes to your shop or item listing pages. It's your choice whether you want to work on SEO. Click here to read about what Etsy is doing to improve SEO.
Chicago Meet Up: Please join Etsy's CEO Maria Thomas, VP of Community Matt Stinchcomb, and Marketing Director Nizzi Renaud for another meet up, this time in Chicago, Illinois. The meeting will take place on September 10, 2009 at 7 p.m. See this post for more details and the link to RSVP.
